1. Save your class PowerPoint file on the same computer
If your class presentation is created at and is to be distributed with the same computer (usu. your laptop), then simply leave it there. But by this method, you may run on certain risks of the vulnerable PowerPoint - computer corruption, Internet disconnection, and virus attacks. Many people do that, however, it is not recommended, especially when your class PowerPoint presentation is of critical importance.

2. Simply e-mail your class PowerPoint file
It is a PowerPoint presentation of homework, and you are required to email to your teacher's account for review. In that case, simply e-mail the presentation.

Note -

• Don't email a class presentation unless you are sure that the recipient use the same OS (don't email from a PC to a Mac), the same version or later of PowerPoint program. Simply copy the Embed code of the YouTube video (as seen in "Embedded" field) that you want to use for your presentation and save it on a notepad.

In the PowerPoint file, go to the Developer ribbon and click the "More Controls…" icon.

In the prompt-up More Controls dialog, choose the option Shockwave Flash Object and click OK.

Next, go to the slide with the Shockwave Flash Object box, and right click the cross-lined box to select the Properties option. Then copy the video embed code from the notepad and enter it into the Value column of the Movie item in the Properties interface. That's it!

IMPORTANT: The URL insertion is subject to Internet connection. In another word, the embedded YouTube video would not play in your presentation should your computer be out of Web connection.

Method 2 Convert YouTube videos to compatible MPEG, AVI, MOV or WMV for PowerPoint

As YouTube videos are encoded in FLV, a format that is not accepted by MS PowerPoint, they must be converted to a PowerPoint-compatible format like MPEG, AVI, MOV or WMV prior to inserting.

In this method, what you need is something like a video converter to convert FLV to WMV or other PowerPoint supported video formats. The scrubbing process is carried out by the Document Inspector, a PowerPoint 2007 feature that checks a presentation for various types of behind-the-scenes information, reports what it finds, and removes the types you specify.

How do you finalize a presentation?

One solution is to mark your presentation in PowerPoint 2007. The properties attached to the file by PowerPoint include the name of the author, the title, when the file was created and updated, and so on. You might want to enter other properties, such as keywords, to help you easily find the presentation or to keep track of its status. You enter properties in the Properties pane.

You might also want to mark it as final before distributing a presentation. This feature (new in PowerPoint 2007) saves the file, deactivates most PowerPoint tools, and displays an icon in the status bar to indicate that no further changes should be made to the presentation. This process does not lock the presentation, however; if you want to make additional changes to the presentation, you can turn off the final status.
